A Time for Every Season

The weekend coming - the last weekend of October - sees the official end of Summer Time (or Daylight Savings Time) in Holland and throughout the European Union - and, in fact, much of the rest of those parts of the world that practise daylight saving.

Fall back, Spring forward

This means that in the small hours of Sunday morning, 28 October, the clocks will go BACK by one hour. The mornings will be lighter from next week, but the evenings will really start to "draw in" - time to get the fire blazing and some chestnuts roasting, perhaps?

For more on Summer Time (and a handy table listing the dates on which other countries change their clocks - invaluable if you're doing cross-border business) see AngloINFO's INFOrmation Page on Daylight Savings Time

Be aware that many modern electrical appliances (satellite receiver boxes and computers, for example) will automatically update themselves - there's no need to change them manually. Older and simpler equipment, however, will need to be set back by one hour.

What else?

Keeping up with all the new stuff on AngloINFO is easy - just click here! We've been adding new entries to the AngloFILE just about every day, and there are now over 2,200 listings there! If you want your business added, just follow this link.
