In addition, you may qualify to vote in elections in your adopted home. Any EU citizen resident in the Netherlands is entitled to vote in the Municipal elections provided they have been correctly registered on the electoral roll of their town hall. In addition to that, non-EU citizens who have been resident for over five years may also qualify!
EU citizens in the Netherlands may also vote in the European Parliamentary elections (next election, 2009) to elect their choice of Dutch representatives in the European Parliament.
